Overtravel protection eliminates broken nozzles and the associated cleanup and lost production time assuring maximum production output. While enjoying these benefits for using ambient silicone, hot melt applications have the added benefit of superior hose handling for extended life, and as part of the overall patent claim nozzle design provides a unique heat distribution to the nozzle tip most effectively.
